Picture Day!

We had a fun Friday in Room 203. We began the day by collecting homework and taking care of our morning activities. We also practiced handwriting with HWT. After Road to Reading, we went down to the Commons for Picture Day! Students were very patient while we waited for our turn to take a class picture and then individual pictures. We all smiled, so I look forward to the results! In Spanish we learned more about months and birthdays with Sra. Colmenero. Mr. Simatic was absent today, so Mrs. Brooks led the class in P.E. as they played some games. When we got back to the room, we had snack and then worked on sorting family members.

After lunch, we recited "Hickory, Dickory Dock" and had math. We counted using fingers and cubes. We also investigated the concept of zero. After an afternoon recess, we had science. We read about the sun and learned some cool facts. Then we used oil pastels to make our own sun picture. We ended the day by packing up Friday Folders and with some free choice time. We also counted super star sticks and handed out our first prize! Have a great weekend!
