A Rainbow of Colors

We had a colorful Friday in Room 203. We began the day by collecting homework and taking care of our morning activities. Then we worked on our colorful "My Crayon Box" mini-books. We traced color words and colored to match. We had to stop before we finished to have hearing testing in the auditorium. When we got back, we completed our mini-books before having snack. We celebrated Mexican Independence Day with Sra. Colmenero in Spanish. At P.E., it was "Game Day" as we played "Spy Tag" "Activator and Reactivator" and more!

After lunch, we practiced our poem of the week ("Ring-Around the Rosies") and had math. We worked on counting and sorting objects in groups of 2, 3, and 4. We also had some music time. We sang a couple of new songs, including "Colors." We were going to use prisms to see the colors of the rainbow, but the sun wasn't cooperating. Instead, we read a book on rainbows and used markers and cotton balls to make rainbow art. As a special treat, we ended the day with a popcorn party. Then we got our Friday Folders and backpacks and lined up for home.  Have a great weekend!
