Me and My Family

We had a nice Thursday in Room 203. We began the day with our regular morning activities, including the Pledge and calendar. We worked on handwriting by tracing and copying family words to go with our theme of "Me and My Family." On Thursday, we don't have Road to Reading, but we now go to the Computer Lab and work on Lexia Learning. I will be informing you more about the program at P/T Conferences. (Speaking of which, a conference sign up will be posted this weekend.) After snack and recess, we read "Whose Baby Am I," a story about baby animals. During ELA Workshop, students labeled and decorated family dolls. They look cute! I pulled groups to write in our kindergarten journals. We wrote "I like" sentences about thing that we like.

After lunch, we recited "Hickory, Dickory Dock" and talked more about families. In Music, Mrs. Hanson had us use soft and loud voices. Next, we talked even more about our families, counting the number of moms, dads, brothers, and sisters we have. In Spanish, Sra. Colmenero had us learn about the months of the year. We ended the day with Music and Movement before packing up for home.

Don't forget that Friday is Picture Day!  Dress nicely and return order forms with payment tomorrow morning.

Also, be sure to finish and check over homework packets for tomorrow!
