A Busy Wednesday

We had a busy Wednesday in Room 203. We began the day with our morning activities and some "B" handwriting. Next, we had our second day of Road to Reading in small groups. When we returned, we discussed our Treasures theme of "Families" and recited two rhymes. We read "Being Me" since we are part of our family.  As a  follow up project, students dot stamped their name in different colors. They look cool!  After indoor snack and recess, we had ELA Workshop. Students worked on finding "B" words at their desks while I pulled groups to write in our kindergarten journals.  We wrote sentences about ourselves that start with "I am..." We did a nice job for a first try!

After lunch, we recited our poem "Three Men in a Tub" and had math. We played "How Many Dots," did some finger counting, used counters, and worked on putting objects in a line or an array.  To end the day, we had Second Step. Ms. J.C. and Mrs. Z joined us for a lesson on following directions. We also used our eye, ears, and brain to focus.  Then we packed up and lined up for home.
