More with J and Tech Lab

We had another fast Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "Jaguar's Jungleberry Jamboree" and brainstormed more "J" words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "J" phonics and sentences. My groups took the chapter 3 math test and worked on good "J" handwriting. After recess, we wnt to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had us play Halloween computer games. They included: "Jack-O-Lantern Creator," "Dress Up Game," and a Halloween matching game. You can access them all at PlanetBravo.com/thirdstreet/. When we got back to Room 2, we recited "Diddle, Diddle, Dumpling" and did some rhyming.

After lunch, we read two stories and practiced our Halloween song. We also had math. We worked on making (or composing) 4 and 5. We used counters to find different combinations for each number. For Star of the Week, we reviewed what we learned about Bishop. He also shared some of his favorite things, including a Spider-Man car, an airplane, a Power Ranger, and a book of Mother Goose poems. To end the day, we had Reading Buddies. We looked at books with our fourth grade friends from Room 19. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
