More with H and Reading Buddies

We had a fast Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "Hide and Seek Hippo" and came up with more "H'" words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "h" phonics and words. My groups read "I Am" and practiced "H" handwriting and words. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we had Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had the class work on their number skills. Games included: "Birthday Count," "Counting Fish," "Numerical Order," and "Connect and Count." Remember, you can always access these games at PlanetBravo.com/thirdstreet/. When we got back to Room 2, we recited "Pease Porridge Hot," worked on rhyming, and sounded out some words.

After lunch, we practiced our Halloween song and had math. We worked on building, identifying, and writing the numbers 18 and 19. For Star of the Week, I shared some toys and games with the class. To end the day, we had Reading Buddies. Mr. Bassett's fourth graders came by and read books with us. It was fun!  Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
