Color Experiment

We had a great Friday in Room 203!  We spent our morning reading colors books and making a "bouncy snake." It had a pattern of primary colors and after we cut it with scissors, it bounced!  If you want to see one, it is in your child's Friday Folder. We also had some circle time where we sang some songs, talked with friends, and remembered each other's names. After a nice snack and recess break, we had a color experiment. We used paint to mix the primary colors (red, yellow, blue) to create the secondary colors (orange, green. purple). It was a little messy, but fun. We're very excited to paint more later in the year!

After lunch, we had math. We worked with a partner to find objects that work or belong together. We did a good job talking and helping each other. We also had a quick art lesson on lines. We practiced drawing different kinds of lines: straight, curved, broken, wavy, zig-zag, and more. It 's good practice to lead into our future lessons in both art and handwriting. We ended the day with P.E. with Mr. Simatic and Music with Mrs. Karai. Then we packed up our Friday Folders, counted Super Star Sticks, passed out certificates for August, and lined up for home.

Have a great three-day weekend!  Enjoy your Labor Day. We will see you back here on Tuesday!
