A Nice Thursday

We had a nice Thursday in Room 203. We spent our morning working on "B" phonics, having read aloud, and Reader's Workshop. We focused more on private reading and partner reading today. In Writer's Workshop, we worked on being "Super Writer's" and solving our problems independently.

After lunch, we worked on counting to five in math. We used markers to draw dots to match numbers. In science, we read a book on hearing and had a hearing experiment. We tried to identify sounds using just our ears. We did pretty well!  We ended the day with Art. Ms. Sundquist let the class paint diagonal lines. Fun!  Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and counted super star sticks before going home.
