Reader's Workshop

We had a fun Tuesday in Room 203. We spent our morning reading "Gorilla Be Good!" and practicing our "G"s. We also had a guest teacher lead our Reader's Workshop session. Mrs. Donovan-Scane is a district expert at RUOS. She came by to see our class and lead a  lesson on partner storybook reading. It was fun!  After Road to Reading, snack, and recess, we had Writer's Workshop. We focused on planning our writing page by page. Most of us tried to finish our true stories, or added to them. We hope to share more later this week.

After lunch, we recited "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary,"  read "Feast for 10," and sang "Five Little Pumpkins." I needed to finish some number and shape assessments, so we read an issue of Time for Kids about autumn together. We learned how things change in the fall. For PEA, we went outside to kick a ball as far as we could. It was nice to be outside on such a beautiful day!  We ended the day with Music and Spanish. We listened to some new music with Mrs. Karia and learned about the months of the year with Sra. Colmenero. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, counted super star sticks, and lined up for home.

Be sure to bring your library books tomorrow!
