Bats!

We had a nice and busy Wednesday in Room 203. We spent our morning working with the letter "H." We practiced our handwriting, did some "H" phonics, and read "H is for Horse." We also finished up some Halloween bat art that we started yesterday. After Reader's Workshop, we visited the library. We checked out books and read a story with Mr. Withers. After Road to Reading, we went out for snack and recess for the first time this week. It was nice! Then we had Spanish with Sra. Colmenero. She taught us about the months of the year.

After lunch, we recited "Pease Porridge Hot" and sang "Five Little Pumpkins." We also had double math day. We worked on counting numbers to ten and then on "one less." We did a great job finishing our work on time!  Next we had Second Step. Mrs. Sweeney and I led a lesson on Identifying Anger. To end the day we had Star of the Week. We remembered what we know about Mr. Ricker. Then I shared my favorite book, "Too Many Lollipops." Then we packed up, reviewed homework and what we need on our trip tomorrow, and lined up for home.

Be sure to bring a sack lunch with drink and dress for the weather tomorrow! It should be a fun trip!
