Book Fair

We had a busy Wednesday in Room 203. We spent our morning on the move. We read "G is for Giraffe" and worked on some "G" phonics first. Then we went to the Commons to visit the Book Fair. Students got a chance to see what they have to offer. The Book Fair will be open Wednesday (7:30-6:00), Thursday (7:30-6:00), and Friday (7:30-1:00). We finished our work and then went to the library. Mr. Withers read us a story before we checked out new books. When we returned, we went right to Road to Reading. After snack and recess, we ended our morning in Spanish. Sra. Colmenero taught the class more about "meses," the months of the year.

After lunch, we recited "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary," read "Feast for 10," and sang "Five Little Pumpkins. For math, we reviewed our flat shapes and worked on a shape match. We ended the day with Second Step. It was a review week, so we reviewed our first seven lessons with Mrs. Sweeney. Then we made new goals for the year. They ranged from making new friends, listening, being assertive and trying our best to reading more words and writing neater. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
