The Rainbow Fish

We had a good Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read the book "Fidgety Fish" and brainstormed more "R" blend words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "Br or Cr" phonics and sentences. My groups took the chapter 11 math assessment and worked on a sewing project for Mother's Day. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had the class play online word search games. Students also used a program to make their own word search. Cool! You can access more at PlanetBravo.com/thirdstreet. When we got back to Room 2, we reviewed sight words and recited "Rock-A-Bye Baby."

After lunch, Miss Rosie read us "Rainbow Fish to the Rescue!" Then we made our own Rainbow Fish using a fish shape, crayons, little paper "scales," glue, and one shiny scale. They look great! For Star of the Week, Stella shared some of her favorite toys. She had her favorite bunny, a Boba Fett doll, a unicorn Beanie Boo,  Hello Kitty Bingo, a deer antler, and an antelope antler from Oklahoma. The class liked them all! After P.E. on the kindergarten yard, we shared Olive's animal report & diorama project and some books brought in by students. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
