Cows and Sheep

We had a busy Tuesday back in Room 2. We began the day by collecting Friday Folders, having Nutrition, and taking care of our morning business. Then we read "Stan the Pest" and reviewed some "S" blends. At language arts rotations, students wrote a friendly letter to Mr. A. We will write "thank you" letters all week to some of the teachers that helped us this year. My groups read Sam and Mat book #13. The other groups got free choice centers.  After recess, we had math. We reviewed telling time to the hour and half hour before telling time at quarter past (:15) and quarter to (:45). It was a bit challenging, but very worthwhile!

After lunch, we cut out our fuzzy sheep from last week before going to the auditorium to practice for Friday's culmination. Next, we had P.E. on the kindergarten yard. When we got back in, we read "Farm Animals" and put together our cows. We cut and pasted the head and body, hole punched and attached a tail. traced our hand to be the udder, and glued on a bell. The cows look super! To end the day, we met our Reading Buddies from Room 19 and shared our Animal Reports with them. Then we packed up, passed out "homework," and lined up for home. Let's have a great week!

Be sure to read the Ricker Report this week. The only homework is to practice our songs for Friday's culmination. Make sure your child is ready to do their best!
