Sea Stars

We had a great Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "A Groundhog named Grady" and came up with more "tr, dr, gr, and pr" words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "r" blend phonics and sentences. My groups read Sam and Mat book 9. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had the class play three different games, including Seahorse Chronicles, Letters!, and Bash a Letter or Number. You can access them all at PlanetBravo.com/thirdstreet. When we got back to Room 2, we reviewed sight words and recited "Hot Cross Buns."

After lunch, Miss Rosie read the class two book about starfish, or sea stars. Then we made our own sea stars using crayons  and watercolor paints. They look nice! For Star of the Week, Victoire shared some cool toys. She brought in an Elsa doll, an owl Beanie Boo, a pink bracelet, and an Elsa and Anna "Frozen" pen and book set. The class liked them all! After P.E. on the kindergarten yard, we ended the day with math. We worked on problem solving with a partner to find objects that can stack on top of one another. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
