Field Trip to KidSpace Museum

We had a fun Thursday in Room 2. We started the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. We also finished "The Giving Tree" and had Zachary share his family photos for Star of the Week. The main part of our day, however, was our field trip to KidSpace Museum. After splitting into groups, we boarded the bus for Pasadena. Once there, we listened to the rules before getting to explore. There was a lot to see: Numerous hands-on activities in the Physics Forest, plenty of bug related stuff and climbing towers in the Roberts Pavilion, bikes to ride outside, the new "Hawk's Nest" exhibit, a climbing wall, and so much more.

After lunch in front of KidSpace, we went to our butterfly class. We reviewed the parts of a butterfly, learned some facts, and then made a handprint caterpillar together. I put it outside our room if you'd like to check it out. We got a little more exploration time before heading back to the bus. Most of the class took a well earned rest on the way home. When we arrived back at Third Street, we had some free recess before packing up, reviewing homework, and talking about our favorite part of the day.

We'd like to thank our kind and patient parent chaperones: Daniel's mom, Dominic's mom, Ethan's mom, Jayden's mom, Karma's dad, Kyle's mom and dad, Lois' dad, Madison's mom, Olive's mom, Pierra's mom, Sam's mom, and Stella's mom. Thank you so much for your help!!!

Oh, and don't forget that homework packets are due tomorrow. Please finish and check over your work tonight.
