Animal Report & Diorama Projects

We had an exciting Wednesday in Room 2. We began the day with our usual Nutrition and morning activities. Then we read "Little Rabbits First Farm Book" together. At language arts rotations, students made farm animal puppets by coloring, cutting, and taping farm animals to popsicle sticks. We even got a chance to play with them. My groups read "Jeb is Quick!" and learn about cows. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we shared some of our Animal Report & Diorama projects. We started with Karma, Daniel, Dominic, Lois, and Victoire. They were great!

After lunch, we shared even more projects: Jayden, Zuri, Bishop, David, Kyle, Madison, and Sam all got to present to the class. Our projects look amazing!  Be sure to stop in and check them out!  We also took a few breaks to stretch, practice our subtraction facts, read, and play with our farm animal puppets. For Star of the Week, Zachary read "The Giving Tree," his favorite book. After P.E. with Coach Angel, we ended the day celebrating David's birthday. His mom and dad brought in cupcakes, cherries, juice, and goody bags for the class. It was a lot of fun!  Then we packed up, reviewed homework and plans for tomorrow, and lined up for home.

Be sure to wear class t-shirts and comfortable shoes tomorrow!  Also, bring a lunch with drink. It should be a great day!
