More With "Sh"

We had a busy Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Next we read some "Sh" riddles and came up with more "Sh" words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "Sh" phonics and sentences. My groups read "Pat and Tip" and wrote about best friends in our kindergarten journals. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had the class work on making spaces between words or letters in a document. You can see more at PlanetBravo.com/thirdstreet/. When we got back to Room 2, we reviewed our sight words and recited "Come to the Window."

After lunch, Miss Rosie (who will be in our classroom every Tuesday from now on) read "Spring Changes." Then we had math. We reviewed squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles. We also looked at how many sides and vertices are on each shape before completing a skill page. For Star of the Week, Peter shared his blue light saber, his Teddy bear named Teddy, and his Minecraft wolf called John Choi. As a bonus, we watched a video on bees and learned a little more about them. We ended the day with our Reading Buddies from Room 19 on the big yard. We played with our friends and got some fresh air. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
