Field Trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific

We had a fantastic Friday in Room 2 because we went on a field trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific. We began our day by turning in homework and taking care of our morning activities. Then we read "The Earth and I" to commemorate Earth Day before working on a quick "th" phonics page. Students had a few minutes to play and prepare for our trip before we went over our rules and headed for the bus.

The class was very well behaved as we drove all the way to Long Beach. When we arrived, we decided to save some time and eat lunch while we checked in. After we finished, we broke into our small groups and headed inside. There was a lot to see: Giant tanks of all sorts of sealife, touch pools, presentations, interactive exhibits, and more! When it was time, we headed back to the bus and drove back to Third Street.  We didn't have a lot of time, so we quickly packed up and discussed what our favorite parts of the trip were before we passed our certificates for an all-green week. Then we lined up and headed for home. Have a wonderful weekend!

I'd like to thank all of our excellent chaperones for their help today: Charis' mom, Christopher's dad, Daniel's mom, Dominic's mom, Jack's mom, Jayden's mom, Karma's mom, Kyle's mom, Madison's mom, Olive's dad, Pierra's mom, Stella's mom, and Zuri's grandma. Thank you so much! We hope that you had a great day, too!

I will try to post some more pictures over the weekend in case you'd like to see more.
