A Very Full Day

We had a very full day in Room 2 this Thursday. We started a little early because of the rain and took care of our morning business. Then we read Lily's book "Winnie's Magic Wand." At language arts rotations, the class wrote letters to Lily, our Star of the Week. My table did a math page and read "Sam and Mat Like to Fish." The other two groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we recited "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" and had math. We reviewed Topic 11 together and then practiced our addition facts.

After lunch, we did some oral blending and read "Winnie Under the Sea." Then we had language mixing with Mr. Duffy's class. My group read about firefighters and police officers and then wrote sentences about them using our spinner from yesterday to help us.  For Star of the Week, Lily shared some very nice pictures.  We had P.E. on the yard. When we got back, we read about life by the sea and made pictures using blue watercolors to show water. Then we cleaned up, packed up, and lined up for home!

Don't forget to finish and check over homework packets for tomorrow!  That includes "Homework for Parents," too. Book orders should be turned in or ordered online by tomorrow as well.  Thanks!
