Snow?

We had a Tuesday full of reading in Room 203. We spent our morning with our reading buddies and then in Reader's Workshop. After Road to Reading, we had snack and recess.  When we came back in, we reviewed sight words, recited "Humpty Dumpty," and wrote in our kindergarten journals. We wrote sentences naming some of our friends.

After lunch, we visited the library. We read a book with the substitute librarian and then checked out new books for the week. We also noticed that it started to snow when we looked out the windows. Can you believe that we're getting snow again?  In math, we introduced taking away and the concept of "how many left?" We listened to stories and cross out items that went away and then counted how many were left. We will look at subtraction sentences next. For Star of the Week, Khyan shared some fun toys. She had a baby doll, a carseat, a toy ice cream cone, a toy washing machine, and a bouncy baseball. The class liked them all. After Music and Spanish, we packed up for home. Let's all stay safe in that snow!
