How-To

We had another quick Wednesday in Room 203.  We spent our morning with Reader's Workshop, practicing "V" phonics, and in Writer's Workshop. We began a new unit on "How-To" writing. Students will focus on explaining things and putting the steps in order. It should be fun!  After Road to Reading, we had snack and recess. We finished the morning learning about colores in Spanish.

After lunch, we had Star of the Week. Kennedy shared a favorite book called " Jack and the Beanstalk and the French Fries." The class thought it was funny. In math, we made number bonds and then used the numbers to make addition sentences. To end the day, we had Second Step. We learned about the Touching Rule and what to do if someone breaks the rule. A Home-Link about the lesson was put in your child's homework folder. If you didn't get it, it will be in your child's Friday Folder. Then we packed up for home.
