Corduroy

We had a rainy Thursday in Room 203. Well, at least it started rainy! We spent our morning working on HWT and Reader's Workshop. We read "Corduroy" and wrote about what happened in the story using an illustration to help us. We visited the Computer Lab to play LexiaCore5 games, too. We had snack and indoor recess (we played bean bag toss) and ended the morning reviewing sight words, reciting "Little Boy Blue," and practicing phonics skills.


After lunch, we worked on math. We looked at more number bonds to find pairs of numbers that go together. It's still a little challenging for some of us, so be sure to go over your child's homework pages together and check for understanding. We had math Workshop, too, before going to Art with Ms. Sundquist. We ended the day with Star of the Week. Jamari shared a book called "Slithery Jack."  Then we packed up for home.
