Three Piggy Opera

We tried to have a quiet day in Room 203. We began our Wednesday with the usual morning  activities. It was "Q is for Quiet" in our A to Z Countdown, so we made a picture of something quiet. Yahkid didn't have his favorite book, so we read "Peter's Chair" together and reviewed what we know about Yahkid. Next we had ELA Workshop. Students looked for "th" and "wh" words and wrote sentences at independent tables. In my group, we read "Rosie's Walk" and made a memory game. As we worked, I checked how many sight words each of us can read. We also had a secret center. After snack and indoor recess, we went to the auditorium to rehearse for the Three Piggy Opera. We went though all the songs the best we could. We hope that we're ready to have a great show tonight!

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?" and had math. We did our end of the year attempt to write all of the numbers from 1 to 100. We had some free time to play our memory games before Second Step. Then we ended the day with Ms. J.C. and Mrs. Z and Second Step. We reviewed our Never Never rules and other ways to stay safe. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, played some "Mr. Ricker Says" and lined up for home. See you at 6:00 tonight!
