Cows!

We had a pleasant Thursday in Room 203. We began the day with our morning activities. It was "R is for Rock, Paper, Scissors" in our A to Z Countdown, so we learned how to play. For Star of the Week, Yahkid shared a Tie You Shoes Paw Patrol book with the class. They liked it!  Then we read a book on cows before having ELA Workshop. At independent tables, students drew and painted a very large cow. My groups wrote a friendly letter to Yahkid, our Star of the Week. We also visited another secret center. After snack and recess, we made a cow udder by tracing our hands. We also made a bell. Then we cut and assembled our cows. We even made a little tail!  They look fantastic!

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?" and read "Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type." It's a fun book!  Next we had a regular lesson with Mrs. Hansen. We went to the Computer Lab to play LexiaCore5 games next since we couldn't earlier in the morning. Then we had Spanish with Sra. Colmenero. To end our day, we read "Giggle, Giggle, Quack" and had a little free time. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, counted super star sticks, and lined up for home.

Be sure to finish homework for tomorrow!  If you haven't turned in field trip slips or cash, please do so on Friday. Thanks!
