Sharing More Projects

We had another day of sharing projects in Room 2. We began our Wednesday with Nutrition and morning business. Then we read "How Do Apples Grow?" and reviewed what we've learned about apples. At language arts rotations, students colored and sequenced the life cycle of an apple tree. My groups wrote about apples in our kindergarten journals. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we recited "Pease Porridge Hot," shared some more "All About Me" books, and started math. We discussed 1 More.

At lunch, we celebrated Kayla's birthday. Her mom brought fruit and cupcakes for the class, as well as some goody bags to take home at the end of the day. After lunch, we shared more "All About Me" books and finished our math. The class has done a great job reading their books! We only have two more projects to share tomorrow. After a break from sitting, we had Star of the Week. I shared my favorite book as a little boy, "Too Many Lollipops."  We had afternoon snack and recess on the big yard for a few minutes before going to P.E. with Coach Angel. Coach had us practice soccer kicks by using the inside of our foot. The class rotated through four different goals. After a water break, we ended the day in the library. Mrs. Singh read "Quiet! There's a Canary in the Library" and "Gilberto and the Wind." We packed up our things back in Room 2 before Kayla passed out her goody bags and we lined up for home.

Don't forget that tomorrow is Picture Day!  Dress nicely, bring your order form, and be on time. We take pictures at 8:30 A.M.
