I Am Thankful For...

We had a great Tuesday in Room 203. We began the day by collecting homework folders and taking care of our morning activities. After HWT, we read "The Best Thanksgiving Ever!" and talked about what we ware thankful for. Then we made a mini-book where students drew a picture and wrote what they are thankful for (I helped with the "because" part). They will come home today in the Friday Folder. After snack and recess, we read "Thank you Thanksgiving." AT ELA Workshop, students made pictures showing what they like most/are thankful for at school. We used pencil, crayon, and watercolor paints. I pulled groups to read "I Am" and assess for sound fluency.

After lunch, we recited our poem and shared Addison's Ethnicity Doll. She did a super job making, reading about, and sharing her doll!  Be sure to finish up projects over the break! Then we went to library with Mr. Withers. He read us a story and let us check out a book. In Spanish, the class discussed Thanksgiving with Sra. Colmenero. And in P.E., we played hockey games with Mr. Simatic. We ended the day with Reading Buddies with our fifth grade friends from Mrs. Fogg's class. Then we packed up Friday Folders, passed out prizes for twenty super star sticks, and lined up for home.  Have a fantastic holiday! See you on November 28th!
