P.E. and Library

We had a busy Wednesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother Too?" and "B is for Bear." At language arts rotations, students worked on"B" phonics. My groups wrote about things they like in our kindergarten journals. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we had math. We reviewed equal to, greater than, and less than. We compared numbers using those terms as a class and with a partner by building towers.

After lunch, we recited "Three Men in a Tub," read "What Makes a Rainbow" and continued our study of prisms. Today we made a picture using construction paper and oil pastels to show how light bends and shows the colors of a rainbow after passing through a prism. They look pretty cool!  We had a little extra time, so we had a quick recess before going to see Coach Angel for P.E. for the first time. He had us run laps and have relay races between cones.  After a water break, we ended the day in the library. Mrs. Singh read us two Robert Munsch books: "We Share Everything" and "Love You Forever." Then we reviewed homework, got our things, and lined up for home!

Don't forget to check over homework packets and return them tomorrow. We will not have school on either Friday (Admissions Day)  or Monday (Labor Day), so Friday Folders will go home tomorrow.
