More with Short E and Tech Lab

We had a fast Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "The Enormous Elephant Show" and came up with more "short e" words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "Short e" phonics and words. My groups read "I Can!" and practiced neat "E" handwriting. The other groups had their last secret center of this rotation. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had us work on keyboarding by playing the games Keyboard Zoo and Keyboard Climber. It was fun!  When we got back to the room, we recited "Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater" and practiced rhyming words.

After lunch, we sang "I'm a Little Teapot" and had math. We worked on counting and writing 9 and 10. Be sure to practice those 9s!  To end the day, we sang a song called "Colors" and played "Duck, Duck, Goose." Then we packed up, reviewed homework, played "Mr. Ricker Says," and lined up for home.

Don't forget that we don't have school tomorrow. See you on Thursday!
