Field Trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific

We had a fun Wednesday in Room 2. Actually, we didn't spend much time in Room 2 today because we had a field trip! We began the day with our morning business. Then we had Star of the Week. Yetunde had us read her favorite book, "Corduroy."Then we got into our groups and got on the bus. After a 50 minute ride, we arrived at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Students (and our wonderful parent chaperones) got to spend the rest of the afternoon exploring all that the aquarium has to offer. There were endless exhibits with marine life inside and outside. The areas where you can touch or "pet" the sharks, rays, fish, and more were particularly popular. While it was a very hot day, we mostly stayed cool walking around. Then we got on the bus and headed back to Third Street.  When we returned, we spent a few minutes on the yard playing before practicing our end of the year song. Then we packed up and headed for home.

I hope that everyone had a great day!  I'd like to thank all 13 of our fantastic parents that chaperoned the trip. We appreciate your help!
