Snow

We had a busy Friday in Room 203. We started our day working on our new 100 Day Books. We will be adding a page of 10 items each day until February 2. Ten days of 10 to make 100!  Today we attached and numbered 10 smile stickers.  After our morning meeting, we had Reader's Workshop. We read stories using our super powers and making sure that they made sense to us. If not, we read them again. Next, we had Star of the Week. Bennett told us three jokes. They were funny!  Then we wrote him a letter. After snack and recess, we had Writer's Workshop. We talked about adding details to make our stories more interesting. Then we started a new story where something interesting happened.

After lunch, we had math. We got to use our balance scales to measure and compare objects by weight. After cleaning up our tables and supplies, we had art. We made pictures with snow in them. Most students included a snowman, sledding, or playing in the snow. Then we read our letters to Bennett and went to P.E. and Music. To end the day, we packed up, awarded prizes for twenty super star sticks, and headed home.
