The Beye Health Fair and our Class Party!

We had an awesome Friday in Room 203! We started the day practicing "G" handwriting in our HWT workbooks. Then we met our fifth grade Reading Buddies from Mrs. Fogg's class and went to the annual Beye Health Fair. We rotated around different rooms learning and trying new activities. We had some strength and conditioning drills, learned about food allergies, tried yoga, honed our assertiveness skills, got some dental hygiene education, had a snack, learned how to stay healthy from bacteria and germs, learned a hip hop dance, got some stress relief techniques, and tried some exercises to use through the winter. It was a lot of fun!  When we got back to the room, we packed up, had our snack and watched "The Gingerbread Man."

After lunch, we got a chance to color some holiday art while parents set up for our party. Then we listened to a story called "The Biggest Snowball" to start the party. Next we got in small groups to make a cool ornament, play dreidel games, try a snowball toss game, and have a snack. At the end of the party, we sang our three holiday songs to our parents. Thank you so much to Ben. P's mom, Bennett's mom, and Henry's mom for planning our awesome party! And thanks to all of the family and friends that came to join us...we had an impressive turnout!  We ended the day in P.E. and Music before packing up for the day. I gave each child a small present as we lined up for home. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for the gifts and words of support this holiday season. Let's make 2018 an even better year!  We will see you back in Room 203 on Monday, January 8.  Have a happy and healthy Winter Break!
