Snow?

It was a snowy Thursday in Room 203, at least for part of the day. We were met by snow flurries and a substitute to begin our morning, as Mr. Ricker was pulled into a short meeting. The class took care of their morning activities and worked in their HWT books on the letters H and K. When I returned, we had Reader's Workshop. We focused on our superpowers and some good private and partner reading. We visited the Computer Lab and played some LexiaCore5 games, too. After snack and recess, we had Writer's Workshop. We started stories making only pictures to tell the story. With the morning flurries as inspiration, we drew pictures telling about something we have done in the snow. We will add words to our stories on Friday.

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Little Miss Muffet," and sang a holiday song.  Then we had math. We worked more with the concept of shorter and longer. We also shared our last two Culture Dolls. We ended the day in Art with Ms., Sundquist. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, counted super star sticks, and lined up for home.

Be sure to finish and check over homework for tomorrow!
