Culture Dolls

We shared a lot of cool Culture Dolls on Wednesday in Room 203. Our projects were due today, so we shared all of the new ones during the day. They look awesome!  Check them out yourself!

We began our day by learning about "M." We read "Monkey's Miserable Monday" and worked on "M" phonics and sentences. We also learned about persistence in Reader's Workshop. We reviewed all of our reading superpowers and learned to keep trying if one of them doesn't work. We also shared a couple of Culture Dolls before having Road to Reading.  After snack and recess, we went to Spanish. Sra. Colmenero taught the class about shapes.

After lunch, we shared more Culture Dolls. We also had math. We used a string to measure objects to see if they were longer or shorter than the string. Then we shared more Culture Dolls. We ended the day with Second Step. We talk about empathy and feelings. We learned that feelings can make you feel hurt or uncomfortable and that we should talk to a grown up we trust to help. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
