More With F

We had a fast Tuesday in Room 203. We began the day by collecting library books and taking care of our morning activities. After HWT, and Road to Reading, we had Writer's Workshop. We worked on making scrolls. We took a story, or started a new one, and added more to it by stapling pages below to make a scroll. We ended up with some tall writing!  After snack and recess, we read "Fifi Ferret's Flute," brainstormed more words that start with "F," and had ELA Workshop. Students focused on "f" phonics and pictures independently while I pulled groups to work on "F" handwriting. Mrs. Logan joined us to help with our mid-module math assessments, as well.

After lunch. we recited "Three Little Kittens," which is a long poem, and reviewed some phonics skills. Then we went to the library to check out books, Spanish, and P.E., where we played color tag. When we got back to the room, we read "Pumpkin, Pumpkin" and reviewed the life cycle of a pumpkin. Then we cleaned up, packed up, reviewed homework, and read "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" before lining up for home.
