A Day With Ms. J

We had a day with Ms. J in Room 203. Mr. Ricker had teacher meetings at Beye, so Ms. J was our substitute for Tuesday. The plan for the day was to start the day by taking care of our morning activities and having HWT. Next, we had Writer's Workshop and worked on three page booklets of writing. After snack and recess, we read "Gorilla, Be Good," brainstormed more "G" words, and had ELA Workshop. Students looked for "G" words and pictures while Ms. J pulled groups to practice "G" handwriting.

After lunch, we planned to recite "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary" and review our phonics skills. Next, we had Library, Spanish, and P.E. to finish the afternoon. Ms. J then got to choose her own project to end the day. Then we packed up and lined up for home.

We plan on having our field trip tomorrow. Please prepare to wear weather appropriate clothing, good walking shoes that can get dirty, and bring a sack lunch with drink. If the weather isn't kind, we may have to cancel the trip, but that decision won't be made until the morning. Cross your fingers for good luck! Chaperones. we will see you at about 8:45 A.M.
