Telling Time

We had a busy Thursday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition outside and our morning activities. Then we read "Rainbow Fish: The Good Luck Charm." At language arts rotations, students wrote a friendly letter to Mr. A, our Star of the Week. My groups read "Sam and Mat" book #13. We only have one more to go!  The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we had math. We worked on telling time. We used our clocks to practice time to the hour and half hour. Then we practiced with a friend. We ended by matching digital clocks and analog clocks that said the same time. It was challenging for some of us, so keep practicing at home!

After recess, we read another Rainbow Fish story before practicing for our culmination on Friday. It took quite awhile, but it should help us a lot tomorrow! We ended the day with P.E. and by watching a Magic School Bus video about dinosaurs. Then we packed up and lined up for home.

Don't forget to dress nicely for tomorrow's culmination!  Parents should arrive by 1:15 P.M. in the auditorium. We will return to Room 2 afterwards to celebrate. See you then!
