Our Last Tech Lab and Music

We had a fast Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition outside and our morning activities. Next, we read the book "Somewhere in the Ocean." At language arts rotations, students worked on identifying different blends and writing sentences. My groups took the Topic 15 math test and read Sam and Mat book #10. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we had our last visit to the Tech Lab. Mr. Scott had the class take a Tech Lab quiz and then get free choice of several computer games. When we got back to Room 2, we practiced our sight words, recited "Jack Sprat," and shared some Animal Reports. Kaia shared her kangaroo project and Dylan shared his tiger shark report.

After lunch, Mrs. Navarrette stopped by to introduce a song for our culmination ceremony.  Then we had math. We worked on making same shapes the same size. We used dot paper to replicate shapes the correct size. We also worked on identifying like shapes.  For Star of the Week, Aaron brought in some cool toys. He had a Transformer, a "Let's Go Fishin'" game, some skateboarding figures, and a big Angry Bird stuffed toy. The class liked  them a lot!  Then we had some P.E. on the kindergarten yard. When we came in, we packed up for home before sharing Alexander's hammerhead shark project and Hudson's horse report. So far everyone is doing a wonderful job!  We ended the day with our music workshop/performance in Room 32 with Ms. Phiri. It was nice to see so many parents there to watch the class!  Then we got our things and went home.

Don't forget to bring in library books and Animal Report & Diorama projects tomorrow!
