Field Trip to KidSpace Museum

We had a great Friday in Room 2 because it was a field trip day!  We started by collecting homework and having Nutrition, as usual. After morning activities, we read the book "Insects" and matched insect pictures on a cut and paste page. For Star of the Week, Amelia had the class estimate Lego Friends pieces. there were 79 Lego friends pieces. Jacob made the best guess of 85! Then we got into groups for our field trip.

We took a bus to Pasadena to the KidSpace Museum. Inside, students and their chaperones visited all of the wonderful things they have to offer! There was the Digging Deeper Gallery, which included many interactive insect and other animal exhibits. There was the trike Track, where students could ride different trikes around a track. Behind that was an outer area that had the bumpy fuzzy garden, the Strata Cliff Climb, The Arroyo, the Wildlife pond, and more. Finally, there was the Physics Forest, which had many fun building and other hands-on activities. We took a break for lunch, but spent the rest of the time just learning and having fun.  Then we got on the bus and headed back to Third Street. We had some recess on the kindergarten yard before ending the day by packing up our things, counting super star sticks, giving prizes for 20 sticks, and passing out certificates for an all-green week.  Have a great weekend!

Special thanks to our ELEVEN parent chaperones!  We appreciate your help today!

Also, don't forget to work on your Animal Report & Diorama projects, which are due on May 13th.
