More with "Ch" and the Four Seasons

We had another busy day this Wednesday in Room 2.  We started with our morning business and read "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs." At language arts rotations, students worked more with the "ch" digraph and wrote sentences with "ch" words. At my table, we took the Topic 12 test and wrote about our favorite subject in our kindergarten journals. The other groups had secret centers.  After snack and recess, we recited "Wee Willie Winkie" and had math. We looked for objects that had one like attribute, such as the same color, same shape, or same size.

After lunch, we read "Pickles Over Pittsburgh," which is the sequel to "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs." Then we had mixing with Mr. Duffy's class. My group read about and discussed the four seasons. Then we sorted pictures to match the season to which it belongs. For Star of the Week, Penelope read us the book "Anna's Act of Love," which is based on the movie "Frozen." She did an amazing job!  Then we went out for P.E. Coach Angel had the class work on using the inside of their foot when kicking. The tried to kick a gator ball into a soccer net. It was fun!  We ended the day in the library. Mr. K read the class "The Hare and the Tortoise." When we got back to the room, we packed up our things and lined up for home.

Oh, I was hoping to remind everyone about the Walk-a-Thon this Friday. It would be nice if students could wear our blue class t-shirt while we participate. We will be out on the big yard walking and doing other activities at the end of the day Friday. See me if you have any questions or concerns.
