Lines

Fridays sure go fast!  We started our day reviewing our letter of the week before our rotations. We did a cut and paste "C" page independently, practiced handwriting with Mr. Ricker, and had secret centers. After snack and recess, we recited "Hickory, Dickory, Dock" and had math. We didn't quite finish our worksheet, so we had to complete it after lunch.

Our afternoon project was art. We continued our SRA Art Connections unit on lines by looking at smooth and rough lines. Students then drew their favorite outdoor place using pencil, then crayon, and, finally, watercolors. They look pretty good!  I'll post them and some of our previous line work (straight and curved vertical lines, line prints) with today's project. We had P.E. on the kindergarten yard with Mr. A to before packing up our Friday Folders and other things for home. We ended the day with a game of "Mr. Ricker Says..." and passed out green certificates for green behavior all week.

Have a wonderful weekend! And don't forget that the Back to School Breakfast is on Tuesday, September 10th!
