Pigs!

We had an interesting Thursday in Room 203. I had two meetings during the day, so we a substitute for part of the morning and the afternoon. Our morning included reading "Pigs" and making a pig in the mud out of construction paper. We also looked a "br" and "cr" words. After snack and recess, we reviewed our 100 sight words and shared Nora's humpback whale animal report and diorama. She did a great job! Remember that all projects are due by Tuesday.

After lunch, we had Star of the Week. Wai Zin finished reading her Peppa Pig book and shared some nice family photos. We also made a 20 piece rekenrek. Since we have a field trip tomorrow, we let our six butterflies go free. We walked out to the playground and let them fly out of the butterfly pavilion and into the world. The class was very excited! We had a bit more math before ending the day in Art. Ms. Sundquist had students bring home their clay pinch pots this week. Then we packed up and lined up for home.

Be sure to wear your blue class t-shirt and good walking shoes for tomorrow. It should be a great day!
