K is for Kindness

We had a kind day in Room 203. It was K is for Kindness Day, so we tried to be extra kind as we learned and played. We started our morning looking at farm animals. We tried to match each animal to the sound they make. We also had Reader's Workshop. We continue to focus on checking our reading to make sure unknown words make sense, sound right, and look right. After snack and recess, we had Writer's Workshop. We started some opinion writing, and did a pretty good job with it.

After lunch, we read some books about moms and worked on some Mother's Day activities. They should be ready to go home tomorrow. We ended the day in Art. Mrs. Sundquist had students finish glazing their clay projects, as well as some free choice art. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.

Be sure to finish and check over homework packets for the week. They are the last ones of the year, so do your best!  Also, remember that tomorrow is L is for LEGO Day, so students may bring in LEGO or block to play with as long as they are labeled.
