Farm

We had a rainy start to our Wednesday in Room 203. We spent our morning working on "wh" phonics and checking our reading skills  by figuring out what sounds right in Reader's Workshop. We also finished up some Mother's Day projects and some math assessment. After snack and recess, we had Spanish. We learned about Mexico with Sra. Colmenero.

After lunch, we had Star of the Week. Sa'Daree read a favorite Peppa Pig book to the class. She did a great job!  We've been reading farm books for read aloud all week, so we tried sorting animals that live on a farm next. For Second Step we talked about Fair Ways to Play. We learned that we can share, trade, and take turns to solve our problems when playing. Then since the rain had gone away, we got a chance to do those with our jump ropes! We went outside and tried our best jumping rope and encouraging our partner. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and headed home.
