I is for Ice Pops

We had an icy Tuesday in Room 203. It was I is for Ice Pops in our ABC Countdown, so students were looking forward to them all day. We started our morning with Reader's Workshop and Reading Buddies. We talked more about the digraph "wh" and practiced our phonics, too. We also started a secret Mother's Day project. After snack and recess, we reviewed our sight words, recited "Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone," read "Big Red Barn" for read aloud, and worked in our HWT workbooks.

After lunch, we visited the library. Mr. Withers was out, so we read a story with Ms. J and checked out books with Mrs. Frost. We had a quick math lesson where we looked for groups of ten. For Star of the Week, we reviewed what we know about Sa'Daree before she shared some toys with the class. They included: and American Girl doll, a fidget spinner, a Sleeping Beauty doll, and a writing and drawing journal. The class liked them all! Next, we enjoyed our sugar free ice pops outside and got a little recess on this beautiful day. We ended the day in Music and Spanish.  Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and headed for home.
