More Butterflies!

We had a neat Tuesday in Room 203. More of our butterflies emerged from their chrysalis. We went from two to three to four to five butterflies! The class was very excited throughout the day. Otherwise, we spent the morning reading a Time for Kids on author Mo Willems and had Reading Buddies. We looked at odd and even numbers since it was N is for Numbers Day. We also read "The Little Red Hen" and had Reader's Workshop. After snack and recess, we reviewed our 100 sight words, read "The Farmer in the Dell," and worked in our HWT workbooks.

After lunch, we visited the library. We returned our books and read a story with Mr. Withers. We won't be checking any more books out this year, so return any still at home. In math, we reviewed the Say Ten Way of counting and built numbers bonds for numbers 11-20 with ten and another number. For Star of the Week, Wai Zin shared some fun toys, including a pink car, a doll and scooter, an American Girl doll, and a little bear. The class liked them all!  We ended the day with Music and Spanish. Then we packed up and lined up for home.
