Computer Lab

We had a busy Thursday in Room 203. We started our day with Star of the Week. Ben P. shared some nice family photographs with the class. Next, we worked on our HWT handwriting books. We practiced more "frog hop" letters. For Reader's Workshop, we shopped for new books and read in small groups with Mr. Ricker. We focused on the parts of the books, following words with our pointer fingers, and taking turns reading. Then we went to the Computer Lab. We played more LexiaCore5 games. Remember that you can play at home, too! After snack and recess, we had Writer's Workshop. We continued writing our stories that other readers like to read. We tried remembering to make space between our words.

After lunch, we reviewed our sight words, recited "Mary Had a Little Lamb," and read "Round is a Tortilla." In math, we wrapped up our shape unit with an assessment. We checked to see if we recognized our flat and solid shapes. We snuck in a quick recess before ending the day with Art with  Ms. Sundquist. After we packed up for home, Ben S. and his mom passed out birthday prizes for everyone. Thanks Ben!

Be sure to look over and finish homework packets for tomorrow!
