Open House!

Thursday was also Third Street's annual Open House. Parents and students were invited to come to Room 2 and see all that we've done and are able to do in kindergarten. Each student had their Ethnicity Doll sitting at their desk with a "Thank You" card, their (hopefully growing) plant, some "Carrot Seed" writing, and a weather poem. We also included a bag to carry everything home! Around the room, I put up our "Tiny Seed" art and writing, our "What I Learned in Kindergarten" paragraph, our seed art, our mini-plant books, and newly completed silhouettes. There were also photographs, journals, books, manipulatives, and a slide show on the computer to see. Hopefully everyone felt proud of our accomplishments.  Everyone also had the opportunity to see Science Fair projects in each class, the PTA Reflections art in the auditorium, plus all the other K-5 classes at the school. I hope that you had a great time! Thank you for the great turnout!
