Music, Theater, and More With Seeds

We had a pretty good Thursday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. We also read Kyle's book about sharks. Then we wrote a friendly letter to Kyle, our Star of the Week. Next, we had Music with Mr. B. He played the didgeridoo, had the class sing, dance, and play a mystery instrument game. It was fun!  After recess, we reviewed sight words, recited "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep," and had math. We finished up our chapter on measurement by reviewing length, height, and capacity.

After lunch, we had Star of the Week. Kyle shared some nice family pictures with the class. Then we went to the auditorium for Theater. Ms. Nichols had the class learn a new poem and perform Hey, Diddle, Diddle," and Little Miss Muffet" on the stage. Then we had P.E. on the big yard.  When we got back to Room 2, Pierra shared her science fair project. It was awesome! Remember, anyone wanting to participate should finish projects by March 17. Then we read a book on seeds and plants before making our own "seed to plant" art. They're cute!  We ended the day celebrating Jayden's birthday. His mom and dad brought delicious cake, chips, and drinks for the class to enjoy. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.

Be sure to finish and check over homework packets for tomorrow!
