More with "Wh" and Mia's Birthday

We had a quick Tuesday in Room 2. We began with morning business and read "The Mega-Deluxe Capitalization Machine." At language arts rotations, students completed a "wh" phonics page and wrote "wh" sentences. My groups took the Topic 13 math test and read "Sam and Mat" books 9 and 10. The other groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we had Tech Lab. Mr. Riko had students use a new art program to draw designs. It was fun!  When we got back to the room, we recited "Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?" and did some rhyming.

After lunch, we read "School Rules" and practiced our sight words. Then we had math. We worked to find, identify, and describe squares. For Star of the Week, Samara shared some fun toys. She had Hello Kitty pom-poms, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, plus a bunch of My Little Pony toys and several Disney princesses! To end the day we celebrated Mia's birthday. Her mom brought donuts, strawberries, and drinks to enjoy. Then we packed up and lined up for home.
