Publishing Our Writing

We had a busy Friday in Room 203. We spent our morning working on HWT, Reader's Workshop, and with Road to Reading. After snack and recess, we worked on publishing our writing by picking our best writing of the narrative unit, adding or revising it, and creating a cover. We shared some stories, and will share the rest next week.

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Polly Put the Kettle On," and had math. We read a book on quarters and learned all about them. We also made a quarter and tried to identify them with other coins. Next we worked in groups to build a town or tower with blocks and cubes. We had some nice structures!  We ended the day in P.E. and Music. Then we packed up, gave our prizes for twenty super star sticks, and lined up for home.
